Parco Astarita

On Monte di Tiberio, before reaching Villa Jovis, an ancient Roman residence, take a detour for a total immersion in the magic of this park. It was created by the collector and banker Mario Astarita, a native of the Sorrento Peninsula, after having bought all the lands bordering the residence of the Emperor Tiberius.

It is here that he also built his home, Villa Falconetta, a refuge for many artists and intellectuals.

For a total of 150,000 square meters, in this corner of Paradise, you can discover the beauty of the typical plants of the Mediterranean scrub, such as myrtle, heather and rosemary. From the terraces cultivated with carob trees, pines and holm oaks you can embrace the unique views of the Gulf of Salerno, Naples and Sorrento. There will be glimpses that will also frame the Faraglioni and the famous Villa Malaparte.

Opening hours: Except on Mondays from 10 to 14. Duration of the route: from the Piazzetta via Longano or Via Le Botteghe, Croce, then Via Tiberio
