A few steps from the famous Piazzetta, inside the historic and monumental Cerio Palace, which is part of the Big Houses where the political and cultural life of the island took place in 1300, there is this small and interesting museum, a jewel of island history  which collects fossil, mineral and prehistoric finds found in Capri by Ignazio and Edwin Cerio between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

After the visit, you can take advantage, by going out on the terrace of the building, to enjoy an incredible breathtaking view of the Gulf and a pleasant perspective from the top of the Piazzetta, the world famous lounge.

Not far away you can access the library for free, founded in 1960 by Edwin Cerio, which houses the book heritage on the history and nature of Cari collected by the Cerio family around the world.
