Path of the Fortini

On the western coast of the island between the Blue Grotto and the lighthouse of Punta Carena are the forts of Orrico, Mesola and Pino, built as military defense posts first by the British in 1806 and then enlarged by the French after the capture of Capri by Orrico in 1808.

The walk along the fortresses takes about three hours and can be carried out both from the lighthouse, that from the side of the Blue Cave, advisable if you want to walk going towards the sunset.

The entire route is diligently marked with red dots and information tiles on the island’s flora and fauna. How to reach the Path of the Forts:
