Museo Ignazio Cerio

A few steps from the famous Piazzetta, inside the historical and monumental Cerio Palace, which is part of the Great Houses where in 1300 took place the political and cultural life of the island, is this small and interesting Museum, a jewel of island history that collects fossil, mineral and prehistoric finds found in Capri by Ignazio and Edwin Cerio between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.

After the visit you can take advantage, going out on the terrace of the building, to enjoy an incredible breathtaking view of the Gulf and a pleasant perspective from the top of the Piazzetta, famous salon of the world.

A short distance away you can access free of charge to the library, founded in 1960 by Edwin Cerio, which preserves the library heritage on the history and nature of dear collected by the family Cerio in the world.
