Faraglioni

Proprio sul lato sud-est dell’isola si trovano i tre picchi di roccia marina forse più famosi al mondo: I Faraglioni, noti già ai tempi del poeta Virgilio nell’Eneide come Sirenum Scopuli.

The first, united to the mainland, takes the name of star and reaches a height of 110 meters. Right on its western side is the cave of the same name.

A short distance away stands the Faraglione di Mezzo, characterized by the famous cavity known to all. Fishermen and lovers. There is no human being in the world, in fact, that crossing the arch, has not at least once expressed its deepest desire.
The Last Rocky Promontory takes the name of Faraglione Out, or rather called Lo Scopolo.
The latter is also the place where lives the famous Blue Lizard, now one of the symbols of Capri that with its intense color blends perfectly with the vastness of the surrounding cobalt blue.
