Following the road that leads to the belvedere of Migliera you arrive in the old district Li Curti (the origin of the name refers to the houses with courtyard, a feature of the place), over time the name of the district has changed to Chain for devotion to Our Lady to free from the “chains” the islanders prisoners of the Turks.

Here, the church gate opens onto a romantic cypress avenue and a garden that once served as a cemetery.

The interior is simple, characterized by a single nave with on the right a masonry pulpit and cross vault on the ceiling.
Until 1510, the year in which the church of Santa Sofia was finished, the church played the role of first parish of Anacapri.
