Hotel La Palma and That’s Amore Capri, together again for another year of solidarity

For the second year in a row, Hotel La Palma di Capri is confirmed as web partner of That’s Amore. A very fruitful collaboration that also gave rise, last year, to an exclusive event held at the beach club of La Palma, with the participation of chef Gennaro Esposito; a unique event, always in the name of solidarity and the desire to offer quality initiatives to the island. A shared vision between the members of That’s Love Capri and Imelda Shllaku, general manager of Hotel La Palma, who in this interview tells us about the work of his team one year after its reopening and the decision to support our initiative again.

What is the initial balance a year after reopening?

One year after the reopening, we are very satisfied with the results achieved. We had a high occupancy rate and received positive feedback from our guests. Our team has worked hard to ensure a level of excellence in every aspect of the guest experience, and the results so far confirm that we are going in the right direction. Every day we are ready to improve and strive to the maximum of our forces to ensure an unforgettable stay for our guests.

What are the main challenges you have faced in running a hotel on Capri?

Capri is a unique reality, famous for its natural and architectural beauty. Managing a hotel in Capri presents a number of challenges. First, competition in the luxury market. Capri is a high-profile destination, with many prestigious hotels offering exceptional experiences. This drives us to constantly innovate and find ways to distinguish our hotel, always maintaining impeccable service so as to strengthen our position as a leader in luxury hospitality on Capri.

What are the strengths of your hotel?

Founded in 1822 as the first hotel on the island, Hotel La Palma has a long tradition of hospitality that is reflected in every detail. Among the main strengths that characterize one of the oldest hotels in Capri, there is first and foremost the central location, which allows guests to easily explore the main attractions of the island, with all the major points of interest just a few steps away. The elegant design of the hotel, with refined details taken care of by interior designer Francis Sultana, creates a refined and welcoming environment that enhances the beauty and elegance of the structure. Our culinary proposal aims to make the most of the excellence of the territory. Each restaurant at the Hotel La Palma has a unique soul and essence, prepared by chef Gennaro Esposito. Gennaro’s and Bianca Rooftop offer extraordinary culinary experiences, while Da Gioia by La Palma, the restaurant and beach club located in Marina Piccola, offers breathtaking sea views and excellent service, with a free shuttle for our guests. Another fundamental aspect is the attention to offer a highly personalized service, with attention to every detail to ensure an unforgettable experience. Our staff is trained to anticipate guests’ needs and offer a warm and professional welcome. In addition, the Hotel La Palma is part of the prestigious Oetker Collection, ensuring guests an unmatched level of service and quality. These combined elements make every stay at the Hotel La Palma an exclusive and unforgettable experience.

What are your future plans to further improve the experience of your guests and expand your clientele?

We have several exciting projects for the future that aim to improve our guests’ experience. Our goal is to make your stay at the Hotel La Palma unforgettable. First of all, we are working every day to improve our personalized services, tailor-made on the needs and preferences of our guests, introducing experiences tailored for families and honeymooners. Already in the 2024 season we introduced, for example, private boat tours with our luxury boats La Palma (several amenities are included and all branded) to explore the caves and hidden bays of the island, private dinners on the terrace of La Palma Suite, and personalized wellness treatments in the privacy of our guests’ rooms or in our spa.

In addition, another key project concerns the catering at the Hotel La Palma, curated by Chef Gennaro Esposito. Our goal is to create dynamic menus, with a Mediterranean flavor and unique notes that only the territory of Campania can offer. As every season, the menu of our restaurants, Gennaro’s and Bianca, and of our Beach Club, Da Gioia, will enchant our guests in a brilliant tasting route.

Another key project concerns upgrades to our facilities. We will continue to invest in the modernisation of rooms and common areas, improving room technologies and implementing sustainable solutions such as renewable energy use and water management systems. In addition, we are planning to expand our spa and beach club, introducing new wellness treatments and fitness programs, as well as exclusive services to enhance the relaxation and fun experience of our guests.

In terms of environmental sustainability, we will redouble our efforts to become even more eco-friendly by adopting sustainable practices in all our operations and promoting social responsibility initiatives.

What is the message that Hotel La Palma wants to convey through its participation in the exhibition?

Through our participation in the exhibition, Hotel La Palma wants to convey a message of community, social responsibility and commitment to collective well-being. We want to emphasize that our hotel is not only a place of luxury and hospitality, but also an active actor in supporting important social causes. We believe that true luxury also lies in the ability to make a difference and improve people’s lives, and we are proud to be part of events that embody these values.

What do you expect from this new edition of That’s Love Capri?

We expect this edition to offer new and engaging experiences for visitors. The combination of artistic performances and cultural activities in the name of solidarity are embedded in a rich and varied program, able to capture the imagination of all participants. This event is an opportunity to further strengthen the idea of Capri as a prominent cultural and tourist destination, where the goal of solidarity becomes the main focus. We believe that the event will contribute, as always, to enhancing the image of the island at a global level and attract new visitors. In summary, we are excited about what the new edition of That’s Amore Capri will have to offer and we are convinced that it will be a memorable edition, continuing to celebrate and promote Capri as a beacon of culture, art and solidarity.
