Culture and creativity are fundamental elements to enrich our society and keep its soul alive. This is why a group of entrepreneurs gathered in Capri to give the island a review made of quality events that celebrate the culture caprese and not in all its forms. We are talking about the association That’s Amore Capri, whose president Costanzo Porta, an entrepreneur engaged in the construction sector, decided this year to take the reins of the event, intending to make it grow even more.
The next event in the calendar of the exhibition will be organized at the club Noise. How did you come up with this idea?
The idea was born from a meeting with Arnaud Lacombe, owner of Il Capri Hotel. This is one of the most elegant hotels in Capri; he and Graziella Buontempo have made it to merge the French elegance and our unmistakable Neapolitan spirit, choosing a suggestive location, a stone’s throw from the famous Piazzetta, in a pink 19th century palace in pure Venetian neo-Gothic style. The property was originally a private villa that was converted into a hotel only in 1899: the couple completely renovated it, taking care to incorporate numerous original elements into the new layout, opening it in March 2023. The Noise club is their project, and from the beginning it seemed to us the ideal location for an event of the exhibition, precisely because of its exclusivity.
Why the choice of hosted artists fell on DJs Albertino and Prezioso?
We really wanted these two icons of dance music to be there and we are very proud of them. This is also why they responded immediately with enthusiasm to the call, eager to bring some of their art to Capri. For our part, this is a very special event, unpublished for our kermesse until today; we have accepted this challenge with curiosity and passion, proud to bring something different in review.
What does That’s Love mean to you today?
That’s Love is a reality born for play; we started out thinking about how to offer something special to Capri, with many ideas and dreams just waiting to be realized. Over time, the fair has become a complex organization that requires the work and professionalism of many. We thank the many structures that have asked to cooperate with us; it is not yet possible for us to accept all proposals, but we are honored to receive such great attention, and we are working to grow the review more and more. This year the staff is working on a rich calendar; the objectives are always two: to help Soleterre in its work of supporting the families of young cancer patients, and to give Capri events worthy of the name of the Blue Island.
