The second concert of the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti will take place in Capri, in the beautiful setting of the Certosa di San Giacomo (Via Certosa 10), on Tuesday, April 30 at 5:00 PM. Admission is free. The concert, titled “Breve viaggio musicale intorno al mondo” (A Brief Musical Journey Around the World), is organized by the Regional Directorate for Museums of Campania and the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, with the support of the L’Oro di Capri association.
The international sky of Capri will provide the perfect backdrop for a colorful anthology of music from both the Old and New Worlds. This concentrated sonic tour will evoke emotions from Rossini to jazz, from Paisiello’s Naples to Johann Strauss’s Vienna, from the Greece of Theodorakis’s Zorba’s Dance to Bizet’s Spain in Carmen, from an Egyptian chant to a Chinese moonlit night, and more.
Alongside the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, Maestro Gaetano Russo will participate in the concert, performing both as the clarinet soloist and conductor.
