The panoramic terrace of the Giardini d’Augusto, with the Faraglioni providing a stunning backdrop, was the location for the group photo of the G7 Foreign Ministers. The images, taken during the summit chaired by Minister Antonio Tajani, who personally selected Capri as the venue for the ministerial meeting, quickly spread around the world.
Peace at the Heart of the Summit
“We have shown that Italy’s leadership of the G7 is a great opportunity for peace. I am proud to chair the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the great liberal democracies and most advanced economies in Capri. We should be proud of our homeland,” Tajani stated.
During a break from the summit’s work, the minister took a leisurely evening stroll through Piazzetta, where he greeted numerous tourists and locals, stopping to chat and exchange opinions. He also made a stop at the Buonocore gelateria to taste the special “G7 Italia” gelato made for the occasion, a treat that was also appreciated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
