Chiesa di
Sant'Adrea

The Church of Sant’Andrea was built in 1900 at the behest of the German banker Hugo Andreas and his wife Emma. Both wished to donate it to the sailors of the area for the worship of their patron saint, Sant’Andrea.

The Church is one of the most particular on the island, being a few steps from the Marina Piccola beach and the fascinating view of the Faraglioni. Built on the designs of the Parma painter Riccardo Fainardi, it has a rectangular interior and three apses.

The central one stands on what was previously the old watchtower of the village, while in the two side ones there is the altar dedicated to the Madonna of Pompeii and a spiral staircase leading to the organ space.
