Sentiero dei Fortini

On the stretch of the western coast of the island between the Blue Grotto and the Punta Carena lighthouse are the forts of Orrico, Mesola and Pino, built as military defense posts first by the British in 1806 and then enlarged by the French after the capture of Capri. which took place from Orrico in 1808.

The walk along the forts takes about three hours and can be done either from the lighthouse or from the side of the Blue Grotto, recommended if you want to walk towards the sunset.

The entire route is carefully marked with red dots and information panels on the island’s flora and fauna.
